It's my go-to salve - and believe me, l've tried a long list of these types of products to help my skin cope with fieldwork in the desert, the Arctic, and cold Maine winters. To begin, I’m going to share that I am Kristin’s mom, and I have used her Calendula salve pretty much since she formulated her first small batch.
I was involved in a very serious car accident 10 years ago. I’ve had multiple surgeries since the accident for skin grafts and reconstructive repairs and fixes. With the help of truly amazing surgeons, nurses and therapists, and lots and lots of love and support from family and friends, I emerged on the other side a burn survivor.
I have used Calendula salve throughout my healing journey for a few different purposes. Having compromised skin, I find the natural ingredients in the salve to be gentle and healing.
When I would have to spend time in the hospital after a surgery, where the air is so very dry, I used it on my face, neck and body as a moisturizer, and I still use it to moisturize at home.
Over this past winter, I developed a rash on my neck, and it was Calendula salve that soothed and healed it. I also use it on a daily basis on a skin graft I have on my scalp to keep the graft nourished and moisturized. There is a small area in particular on my scalp graft that still gets red and dry and scabby, and Calendula salve is the only thing I’ve found that helps to keep it healthy and healed.

I have been using the calendula salubrious salve for about 4 months now. First of all, it lasts forever, a little goes a long way! My favorite way to use it is at night before bed.
Despite being a salve, it is not excessively greasy. Your skin soaks up the healing goodness of the calendula. I also feel like my wrinkles are not as prominent when I use it! To the discerning nose, there is a subtle smell of rose petals. But the predominant scent is a pure and natural lavender scent that is amazing and not overpowering.
I would totally recommend this salve to anyone if you want to give your skin what it deserves!
